Higher Education
Our nation’s higher education policies were developed over fifty years ago and no longer fit the rapidly changing skills needs of today’s economy. Most employers do not require four-year degrees for many of their jobs but instead need workers with skills and credentials that can be achieved through high-quality, shorter-term training programs. Meeting the needs of a changing economy will require new approaches to postsecondary education that improve access to education, training, and high-quality credentials and respond to the needs of local economies.
Business Leaders United is working to help more states and Congress make college work for America’s businesses and working people.
