Wyoming Machine co-owner testifies at congressional hearing on workforce skills gap

Wyoming Machine Inc., Stacy, Minn., has announced that Traci Tapani, company co-owner and a national expert on workforce development and the skills gap, recently testified at a hearing held by the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. The hearing examined the skills gap between high school graduates and skilled positions, especially in manufacturing.

Tapani discussed the skilled worker shortage and the creative solutions she and her sister Lori Tapani, co-president of Wyoming Machine, use to find and train employees. The sisters work closely with community and technical colleges, as well as high schools and grade schools, to inspire technical educations and careers in manufacturing.
