Vice President of Equity and Workforce Development Solar Energy Industries Association

As Vice President of Equity and Workforce Development, Erika leads various efforts to improve diversity, equity and inclusion within SEIA’s membership and industries, and to build and maintain the workforce needed meet demand ahead for deploying solar, storage, and related technologies. 

Erika has focused on green jobs training and advocacy since 2008. Erika joined SEIA after 7 years at GRID Alternatives where she played a critical role in the growth of their solar workforce development programming. Prior to that, she worked with Green City Force, YouthBuild, Outward Bound, and served as an AmeriCorps member with Habitat for HumanityHer work as been at the intersection of youth development, green skills training, and workforce development, all grounded in the value of creating equitable access to economic and personal growth opportunitiesShe is an advocate for incorporating experiential, service, and work-based learning into education and workforce development programming.  

Erika studied at Wellesley College and sits on the boards of Green City Force and RE-volv She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and currently resides in Washington, D.C. with her wife and daughter.
