
Bill Rayl
Executive Director of Workforce Solutions Michigan Manufacturers AssociationBill Rayl has been building and managing successful workforce development and training programs for over three decades. Prior to joining the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) in 2022, Bill served as President of the Jackson Area Manufacturers Association (JAMA) for 19 years. While at JAMA, he spearheaded creation of the Academy for Manufacturing Careers, a registered apprenticeship and customized training program designed to meet the needs of advanced manufacturers across south-central Michigan. In 2012, the Academy garnered national recognition as a 21st Century Apprenticeship Trailblazer and Innovator from the U.S. Department of Labor.In 2013, Bill was selected by the MMA as the State of Michigan's first Manufacturing Talent Champion and now as a member of MMA’s team he helps manufacturersacross the entire state address their talent attraction, retention, and development challenges.
Bill serves on the National Association of Manufacturers’ COSMA Workforce Advisory Group, SMe’s Manufacturing Association Advisory Council,National Skills Coalition's Work-Based Learning Advisory Panel, the State of Michigan's Apprenticeship Advisory Body, the Michigan Works! Southeast Workforce Development Board, and as a founding member of the Michigan Workforce Training & Education Collaborative Board of Directors and the Governing Council for the Michigan Center for Adult College Success.
